Charles Maimarosia brings you the first single Hote’ Hote’ from his upcoming album of the same name due for release in early 2025. Hote’ Hote’ is a tribute to the spirit of adventure and the profound human quest for new horizons, reminding us of the strength and determination that drive us to seek out new opportunities and overcome challenges.
The single Haiamasina released in March 2022 (English translation: ‘Loving’), is an expansive and strident love poem that illustrates ‘Are’Are customs and traditions. The song was produced by Andrew Robinson, with Maimarosia’s bold vocals backed by the drumming of Bougainville legend Emmanuel Hakalitz, and backing vocals from Ambrym, Vanuatu artist Tio.
Charles released his debut solo EP ‘Are’Are in 2016. His incredible music is deeply rooted in the Are’Are culture of his Malaita home – Are’Are is a cause for celebration.
